Troubleshooting

Common Phone Problems and What They Usually Mean

Many phone faults give clues before they fully fail. Knowing what the symptoms usually mean can help you decide whether to book repair, ask for a quote or back up your data first.

Cracked screen

If the phone still works, a screen replacement may be enough. If the display has lines, black marks or ghost touch, the display panel itself is likely affected too.

Battery drain

Fast drain can be software-related, but sudden shutdowns and poor battery health often point to a worn battery.

Charging problems

Try another cable first. If the cable feels loose, only works at an angle, or the port looks damaged, the charging port may need repair.

Camera or speaker issues

These faults can be part-related, software-related or caused by impact/liquid damage. Testing is important before replacing parts.

Water damage

Turn the device off and avoid charging. Contact a repair shop as soon as possible, especially if data is important.
