HDMI port problems

HDMI faults are common on consoles that are moved often or where the cable has been pulled. Signs include no signal, flickering picture, loose HDMI connection or visible port damage.

Overheating and loud fan noise

Dust build-up can block airflow. If a console gets hot, shuts down, or the fan is constantly loud, it may need cleaning, thermal servicing or further inspection.

Power and charging faults

Power problems can be caused by adapters, sockets, internal power circuits or damaged ports. Nintendo Switch charging issues can also be related to the USB-C port or board-level faults.

Why diagnosis matters

Two consoles with the same symptom can have different causes. A “no display” fault may be HDMI-related, but it could also be board-level. Testing before quoting keeps the repair fair and accurate.
