Data Safety

How to Protect Your Data Before a Phone Repair

Most repairs do not require wiping the device, but it is still sensible to back up your data and protect sensitive accounts before any repair appointment.

Back up first where possible

If the device still turns on, back up photos, contacts, messages and app data before bringing or sending it in. Use iCloud, Google backup, computer backup or your usual trusted method.

Protect sensitive apps

Do we need your passcode?

Some repairs can be physically completed without the passcode, but testing may be limited. For example, checking cameras, speakers, sensors or charging behaviour can be easier if the device can be tested normally. Ask us if you are unsure.

For mail-in repairs

Include your contact details, device model, fault description and any relevant notes. Do not send unnecessary accessories unless requested.
